Open links in custom wizard descriptions in new tab

Feature

Open links in custom wizard descriptions in new tab

Description

Currently all links in description fields open in same tab. The issue with that is that all values entered into the wizard are clearned when going back in the browser to the wizard page.

It would be more convenient (aka less frustrating) if all links open in new tab so that input added by the user it now wiped.

Budget

@Jrgong I’ve put this on the agenda

Looking at this again, I should have responded that this is currently possible as you can enter html markup in a description field, i.e. use

<a href="https://yourlink.com" target="_blank">Your link text</a>

Sorry it took so long to respond with that info!

Hey @angus

I am aware of that. But just setting it to target blank as default would keep the markup more simple and clean and easier to manage. For example when copying forum content into parts of the wizard

I understand where you’re coming from, however that would be a significant departure from the way markdown and html is handled in the discourse structure. It would be technically tricky for relatively minimal payoff.
